India aims to capitalize on its accelerating 5G roll-out by achieving a long-held ambition of becoming a major exporter of wireless communications technology from 2024. This goal has been spelt out by the country’s telecom minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who touched on plans to export some of its locally developed 5G technology within a year, as well as longer established 4G components.
