Over halfway done with 2023, Sky decided to publish its 2022 Impact Report last week, highlighting the company’s targets and achievements in matters of inclusion, business responsibility and – most importantly for Faultline readers – sustainability. The report brags that the Sky Stream Puck, a device that allows users to stream Sky TV over the internet, is the “most efficient product ever,” basing this claim on a frugal “auto-standby mode”. At the product’s launch in October 2022, Faultline found it virtually indistinguishable from other similarly-purposed devices, like Comcast’s Xfinity Flex. Sky has now found a way to rebrand Puck.
