Amid a recent frenzy of alliances and clubs dedicated to AI, four tier 1 telcos that already have a history of collaboration have come together to focus initially on customer service. This is significant in so far that telcos can easily drown in a sea of potential AI applications, primarily involving some species of Machine Learning (ML), or its subset Deep Learning (DL), ranging across their infrastructure, services, and potential revenue generating applications.
