The Japanese way of breaking news is oh so polite but whatever way you put it there has been a major palace revolution at Sony, and one that is sure to please investors, as CEO Nobuyuki Idei has been ousted and the US domiciled Briton, Howard Stringer, has taken his place. Stringer was the first non-Japanese member of the board, placed there two years ago when the Sony Shock of missed profits first drove down its share price.
