Qualcomm’s mini revival continued through its fiscal Q1, with a 5% rise in revenue, although that is attributable more to a cyclical recovery in smartphone sales than immediate appeal of Generative AI (GenAI) or growth in its hallowed automotive sector. Both of those are on course to boost revenues but for now Qualcomm’s fate is bound up in the ebbs and flows of its two big smartphone customers, Apple and Samsung, along with other lesser Android phone makers.
