WiFi tends to hover in the background at MWC, as the medium many delegates use for broadband connectivity rather than congested 5G networks. While the symbiotic union of WiFi 7 with Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) stole the headlines, there was also rising interest in WiFi HaLow at the opposite end of the performance spectrum, as the IoT version of the technology. WiFi has arrived even later at this party than the cellular camp.
