This comes as the EU’s Digital Markets Act (DMA) looms large, which could classify Apple as a ‘gatekeeper’ and force it to open up its app store and iMessage platforms, and as Google is grilled on its own dominant position in the US – much of which hinges on the default search engine agreement for Safari.
