Boldyn Networks is best known as the connectivity infrastructure provider behind major urban transport projects such as the London Underground cellular network, but it is showing signs of expanding into other aspects of urban and enterprise connectivity with a promising demonstration of ‘personal cell’ technology from Artemis Networks. Boldyn’s acquisition of Cellnex’s private networks business, centered on Edzcom, which finalized last week, highlighted the way that infrastructure specialists may take advantage of several large tower operators’ decision to focus back on their core business.
