French telco Bouygues has sold its Objenious LoRaWAN division to Swedish firm Netmore Group, which operates LoRaWAN networks in Sweden since 2021. Bouygues had already committed to shutting the network off in 2024, so this is a reprieve of sorts for French users. However, details are scant, including the price, IP assets, and staff, and there is no indication that Bouygues had a significant customer base. In the past year, Bouygues has been converting customers over to the 3GPP LPWAN equivalents – LTE Cat-M (LTE-M) and Cat-NB (NB-IoT).
