The US Department of Justice (DoJ) has played its opening gambit, publishing its proposed remedies in the Google search monopoly. Google is outraged, but precedent tells us that the final decision will be less extreme. April is the next deadline, where a courtroom trial for the remedies will take place, meaning that the conclusion of this investigation, which began under the first Trump administration, will conclude in the second.
