India has joined the Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) boom with a vengeance, so much so that the country’s biggest telco, Reliance Jio, has reported that the service is carrying more data per user than its much faster direct fiber service. The volume of data carried by FWA has also propelled Jio to the top of the world league for data carried over a cellular network, overtaking China Mobile, at 40.9 Exabytes in Q1, as we report separately this week.
