It was hard to escape Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) being trumpeted at MWC 2024, as the one proven 5G use case generating new revenues, as projections of growth continue to inflate. This tended to underline the lack of other new use cases delivering significant revenue, while also forgetting that 4G is still dominating FWA connections worldwide, with only the USA now having significantly more 5G.
