Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) is poised for strong growth in India during 2024, now that 5G roll out is well advanced. Indeed, Reliance Jio, the country’s largest telco, completed its 5G roll out by the end of 2023, described by its supplier Ericsson as the fastest and largest nationwide 5G standalone (5G SA) deployment outside China. Unlike rival and second largest Indian telco Bharti Airtel, Jio’s network is SA, which partly explains its more bullish predictions for FWA in the country.
