At last, CES 2026 delivered. We finally saw tangible products in the realm of “generative UI” that could be tested hands-on on the show floor. This comes a full year after our coverage from CES 2025 featuring LG, Samsung, and Google. We started with Amazon Fire TV, which has integrated Alexa+, the new version of Alexa that is 100% generative-AI-based. We were able to interact with the demo at Amazon’s huge booth and were quite impressed. A query on “Gérard Depardieu,” pronounced in an American accent by the Fire TV demo host, and then again pronounced correctly in French by our own Thierry Fautier, returned exactly the same result.
