Huawei’s first half results for 2022 are mixed but mostly positive, after three years of turmoil created by US restrictions on its access to technology and semiconductors. That decimated its consumer business, especially smartphones, while network equipment has been hit by sanctions on its use in 5G networks in the USA and some allied countries.
