Operators have struggled so far to progress high frequency FR2 mmWave services from trials to full commercial deployments, but there are signs of that coming closer in several leading markets, especially the USA and China. In both countries, mmWave was relegated to the back burner after early enthusiasm, as operators turned more to midband sweet spot spectrum for their ongoing 5G roll outs.
