Verizon has all but admitted the $400 million it spent acquiring video conferencing firm BlueJeans in April 2020 was wasted, after closing down the operation just over three years later. For MNOs, commuting workforces are major customer bases, and the load they put on these mobile networks is a major consideration in the planning phase. The threat of a permanent move to total work-from-home will have caused sleepless nights at MNOs.
