Confirmation of OTT’s emergence as a major medium for premium pay TV services has come from two radically different players, Swedish start up Magine TV and French broadcasting colossus Canal+. Magine TV has followed up rapid growth in Sweden and Spain with a launch in Germany, while the Spanish Yomvi TV OTT service from Canal+ has enabled its millionth OTT device. The common factor to both these developments is that the underlying success has been based on strong content lineups and a decent UI (User Interface).
