Qualcomm takes long view of smartphone at Snapdragon Summit

Qualcomm articulated its view of how the smartphone will become even more indispensable over the next few years at its annual Snapdragon summit last week in Hawaii. There was the almost compulsory reference to more AI inside its latest Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC unveiled at the event. But despite this, the company was keen to paint this as just a small part of a bigger picture where the smartphone dislodges tablets and laptop computers to become the universal hub of the personal enterprise.
