The company hopes to target the emerging device management market for IoT devices, and bringing the familiar look and feel of web and mobile development to embedded experts. Device management itself is simultaneously quite straightforward and staggeringly complicated if/when things go wrong. In theory, a device with an internet connection should be simple to remotely manage, provision, and update – but this is almost never the case, or if it ever is, is usually short-lived.
