Satellite IoT provider Skylo has raised a further $37 million in funding, to bring its total equity investment to $153 million, for the development of roaming IoT services combining NTNs (Non Terrestrial Networks) and cellular networks – for optimal coverage and performance. This looks enough to sustain the cellular/NTN roll out, especially given the status of Skylo’s partners. These include Intel Capital, Innovation Endeavors, BMW i Ventures, Samsung Catalyst, Next47, and Seraphim Space on the investment side, while Deutsche Telekom has teamed up to provide a converged IoT service.
