SensorTower, a firm that provides market intelligence to companies looking to target the mobile sector, has published its State of Mobile 2025 report. In it, the user habits of billions of people are laid out, and the disparity between different countries made clear. For all the diversity of apps and use cases, there are some universal truths on show. The headline figures are that there were 136 billion app downloads in 2024 – down 1% compared to 2023.
