Switzerland’s u-blox has announced a strategic overhaul. The module and chipset maker will wind down its long-range cellular IoT division, and refocus on its GNSS and short-range IoT offerings. The industry has leapt on an opportunity to opine the latest IoT ‘casualty,’ but there is plenty of blame to go around – most of which can be saved for the PR and marketing hypebeasts that pumped-and-dumped once the going got slightly tough.
