Comcast’s 13m X1 voice remotes driving OTT aggregation strategy

It has taken Comcast longer than most to finally welcome YouTube to its set tops, but this week’s announcement to offer the Google-owned video streaming service on the Xfinity X1 set top is just the tip of the iceberg. It represents the next step of the operator’s ambitions to build a home where various sources of content can live harmoniously – from where the US cable operator could launch massively disruptive TV offerings.
