Time Warner Cable has made its first bold acquisitive move since being separated from its parent company Time Warner over two years ago, buying 750,000 cable homes (679,000 take video) at Insight Communications, paying $3 billion in cash. Insight serves cable homes in Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio. This should take video subscribers up from 12.1 million to 12.8 million and total homes connected to around 15.25 million up from 14.5 million.
