US streaming company Aereo appeared to be sweeping away the established US broadcasting order after fending off legal challenges from all directions but has now had its first major setback in the state of Utah. A district court judge there has ruled the Internet TV service, through which subscribers get local TV signals streamed to their computer or mobile devices, violates copyright law and must cease operation in Utah. And while he originally wanted the service switched off, he has now agreed to a 14 day stay of the switch off, until an appeal can be lodged and heard with the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.
