US DSLAM provider Adtran has upped its profits 21% to $9.6 million on revenues only up 3% to $147 million for the first quarter. Mostly this was down to doing a lot more business internationally, from the acquisition of Nokia Siemens Networks broadband business, and doing it at a lower cost of sales. Its US business was lower, but international was up 56% taking operating income up 72%.
