We spoke to Entone CEO Steve McKay to ask a few questions about last week’s news of Vodafone’s choice of Entone set tops for its Thuis TV service. After our discussion, Entone announced that its Aria set top had also been selected by Ukrainian cableco Volia to support its Smart HD service expansion. The Ukrainian deal will see Entone units enter the home of some of Volia’s 1.9 million customers. Volia was the first cableco in Eastern Europe to launch DOCSIS 3.0 internet connections. The Aria is a hybrid set top that can combine digital antenna or cable inputs with OTT content via WiFi or Ethernet.
