Liberty Puerto Rico has launched a cloud-based user interface that shows real-time viewing analytics to convey program popularity. It is called the Social Content Navigator and uses ActiveVideo’s CloudTV platform. The HTML5 UI is rendered in the cloud and streamed to any set top, including those which lack browsers. Liberty Puerto Rico’s 250,000 subscribers are expected to access the new service by the end of 2013.
