Canadian fabless semiconductor company ViXS has filed a patent dispute against several set top suppliers with the US International Trade Commission. Entropic and its customers are the main target of the complaint that was filed on April 17th. ViXS will also seek damages through the federal court. The companies filed against include Entropic, DirecTV, Wistron Corporation, Wistron NeWeb Corporation and CyberTAN. ViXS named Entropic as the main respondent with the other companies cited for using Entropic components in their products.
