We hinted last week that it looked like French middleware specialist Wyplay was being kicked out of the Canal Plus account, after a trial that went wrong, but the company came back to us this week and convinced us that while one version of the software may have had minor problems about which some users had been vocal, the system is all set to go full speed ahead this year. So it turns out that Canal Plus is set to replace its Cisco/NDS middleware with Wyplay software across the entire 6 million subscriber base over the next six months.
