There are a lot of reports out which show off various vendors’ knowledge of what is going on in video, but they all seem to underscore two key elements, more and more content is being watched on phones, and more and more of that carries adverts. Two variations on that theme came out this week from Ooyala and Viant. The Ooyala report says that 46% of all OTT video plays in Q4 were on tablets and smartphones and that these grew 35% this year and 170% from the year before.
