Canadian UI software house Youi.TV said this week that it has just landed a new investor in the form of Time Warner, in a $12 million Series-B funding round. Scott Levine, Managing Director, Time Warner Investments, will join the You.i TV Board. Youi.TV came to light when it put together the Shomi OTT SVoD service for Rogers and Shaw in the US, which went live for the first time in August 2014, and a year later it has gone out to a wider audience rather than just their existing pay TV customers.
