Streaming Media West got off to an unexpectedly doom and gloom start, presenting results of the latest State of Streaming survey – not yet released for public consumption – in which numbers are down across the board, at a time where tech jobs are being axed across the board too. While we appreciated the absence of attempts to sugarcoat, it was a sobering reminder that the economic climate can hit even the resilient streaming media ecosystem.
