French streaming service Salto has finally succumbed to the inevitable, with the platform set to shut down for good at the end of this week after it failed to attract any potential bidders. In similar circumstances to another of 2023’s fallen soldiers – Evoca TV in the US – Salto owners have come to the bruising realization that no one else in the industry sees any potential in their baby.
