Pay TV numbers are arriving hard and fast with results season in full swing. Unfortunately, for the operators involved, the opposite continues to be true for their high-margin video businesses. Dish Network has announced net pay TV subscriber losses totaling 268,000 in the fourth quarter of 2022 alone. This brings the total damage to the US satellite TV operator to a decrease of almost 1 million (957,000) subscribers in 2022 – a huge uptick on the 583,000 pay TV cancellations seen in 2021.
