While sustainability efforts depend on everyone in the video industry pulling their weight, it is no secret that some stakeholders need to pull harder than others. Some streaming infrastructure providers, for instance, are contributing to the collective goal with carbon-cutting technologies, but the reality is that many such product or corporate overhauls amount to nominal change in the total energy consumption of video streaming.
