Despite hints of interest in content distribution using the low latency SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) protocol, over the past six months, it seems that integral vendors are more confused than intrigued by the proposition. While this inertia may not surprise some of our readers, we have been looking closely for further developments since a small pair of announcements at last year’s IBC opened the doors of possibility for RIST and SRT distribution.
