The emerging peer to peer (P2P) vendor Quanteec caught the eye of multiple industry representatives present at last week’s Greening of Streaming (GoS) Brussels brainstorming session. At the conference, a representative from the two-year-old French start-up was eager to showcase and debate the benefits of the technology – and Faultline followed up this week by speaking with the French firm’s CEO and co-founder, Daniel Negru. Following conversations in Brussels, we understood the five-person Quanteec to be providing P2P infrastructure, with the marketed benefit of a more sustainable angle for video service providers than traditional unicast delivery.
