Technology research institute Fraunhofer Fokus is spearheading a group of German industry actors implicated at different stages in the video supply chain, in an attempt to provide end-to-end measurement, using that data to test sustainable efficiencies on a holistic scale. The project is called Green Streaming (not to be confused with non-profit Greening of Streaming, of which Fraunhofer Fokus is also a member, or Green Streams, a fellow German providing TVaaS), and is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action until April 2026.
