Barcelona-based streaming analytics provider NPAW has introduced the second generation of its AI companion NaLa (Natural Language), the firm’s attempt to leverage LLMs, which it has been beta testing since launch two years ago, at NAB 2022. One of our conclusions from the 2024 NAB Show was a maturation of proposed AI services, with vendors focusing on practical “agent” use cases, exemplified by LLM-supported digital assistant chatbots—and that is exactly what NPAW is offering as well. NaLa essentially acts as a human language translator for NPAW’s analytics data.
