Don’t put your white laundry in the Amazon hamper, it could very well turn out green when it comes out. The tech giant has released its Corporate Sustainability Report for 2023, and to no-one’s surprise the tone is self-congratulatory. However, it is clear to us that Amazon still has work to clean up its environmental impact. The 97-page report over celebrates milestones including matching 100% of the electricity consumed across its global operations with renewable sources. With a target set for 2030, doing this seven years in advance is naturally positioned as a big achievement in the report.
