Orange is considering a sale of one of its long-loved subsidiaries, the content security and video platform provider Viaccess-Orca. Faultline commented back around 2019 that Viaccess-Orca was suffering from an identity crisis—or an “insecurity” crisis—and those early warning signs have now manifested with its parent company. Reports of a potential sale were first circulated by French business outlet L’Informe, writing that investment bank Oddo BHF has been instructed by Orange to identify potential buyers for Viaccess-Orca.
