Firstly (and easily), is that FAST (free ad-supported streaming TV) will not fade away in 2024. FAST’s ubiquity was the paragon of a year of austerity in 2023, a culmination of the post-pandemic years before it, where monetization concerns primed over innovation. Until those pressures disappear, old offerings with cheap paint jobs will continue to be presented as shiny new things.
