Starting big in South America, Brazilian TV Network Sistema Brasileiro de Televisão (SBT) has tapped app developer Accedo as the front-end framework its new AVoD service, +SBT. A spokesperson for SBT confirmed that +SBT is a new multi-platform OTT service, rather than an update to an existing service. After the service’s launch in August 2024, +SBT surpassed the milestone of 1 million downloads, making it the top free app downloaded in Brazil on the Apple and Google app stores.
