Executives at Disney have been given a reason to smile this winter, by London-based research firm Ampere Analysis, which projects that Disney+ will reach profitability as soon as Q1 2024 – half a year before Disney’s internal forecast. Even better, the report claims the three other major studios (Warner Bros Discovery, Paramount Global, and NBCUniversal—reduced to just Peacock in the Ampere Analysis report) will be profitable within the next 18 months. It says that WBD will be a close second to the House of the Mouse, reaching profitability in Q3 2024, while Paramount and Peacock will achieve that goal by Q1 2025.
