Google and Reliance Jio have unveiled their promised “ultra-affordable” 4G smartphone, the Jiophone Next, in time for the Diwali festival. They did not confirm pricing, though it is expected to be below $50, but their ambitious aim is to bring full Internet connectivity to the 450 million Indians that only have featurephones.
