The inaugural StreamTV Europe, hosted in Lisbon last week, is not the type of event we would recommend for seriously technical people. It struck a balance at times between technology, content strategy, and business cases, but the more bleeding-edge discussions took place in hallways and meeting rooms rather than on either of the two stages. One of the more tech-focused conversations came with Bitmovin, the Austrian-US video streaming infrastructure company, which arrived at StreamTV Europe more geared toward partner meetings than customer acquisition.
