As expected, Disney has started boxing Disney+ and Hulu content together, beta testing an application that joins the SVoD catalogs of both services. While an ESPN D2C app has been given a 2025 launch date, Disney CEO Bob Iger had previously said that a unified Disney+ and Hulu app would see the light of day before the end of 2023. This beta allows him to keep that promise in part, as the official launch of the joint offering is set for March 2024, and will be targeted to customers of the Disney streaming bundle, which includes Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+.
