Benefiting from a new law recently adopted by French parliament, Viaccess-Orca has landed a significant anti-piracy deal at Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP), the governing body for France’s soccer leagues – effectively the equivalent of a deal with NFL governing body USA Football, or the UK’s FA soccer overlord. Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 matches will be monitored by VO’s Anti-Piracy Center services, with LFP able to request countermeasures against any illegal redistribution by illicit IPTV networks. VO’s Anti-Piracy Center is a toolbox blending monitoring and detection techniques, including watermarking-as-a-service, security evaluation of firmware, illegal credential sharing detection, and breach detection services.
